HOW it all BEGAN...
My other passion is travelling to far-away places! It all started long ago with a life-changing journey across Africa, where I discovered many different forms of jewellery. The beauty of the brightly coloured, intricate beadwork of the Maasai people captured my imagination.
In Niger, I fell in love with the beautifully handcrafted silver jewellery and discovered stunning mosaic glass beads in Morocco.
Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would pursue the path of creating jewellery. On my return to New Zealand, I spent some time exploring ideas of where to live and what to do. Whilst contemplating all of this my creative hands were playing around with jewellery pieces I had collected on my travels.
When I approached my first store in Christchurch I received such an amazing response the path opened up before me to continue... and Pam Kerr Designs was born.
